Wrap Command · by New Idea Works Wrap Command

Run the whole wrap shop from one screen.

Leads, quotes, sales orders, seven production boards, design proofs, scheduling, installers, customer payments and accounting, in one system that was built inside a working wrap shop and now runs it end to end.

One record, start to finish

From first quote to final invoice

A job is one record that moves through the shop. Nothing is re-typed between the estimate, the install and the books.

STAGE 1

Quote

Build it from products and build-ups, see the margin, send a share link.

STAGE 2

Sign & deposit

Customer signs on their phone and pays the deposit by card.

STAGE 3

Sales order

Approved quote becomes the order. Tax and terms applied automatically.

STAGE 4

Design & proof

Design queue, AI concepts, proof link, customer approval on record.

STAGE 5

Install

Installer's column on the board, timers, pre and post inspections.

STAGE 6

Invoice & sync

Balance collected, invoice synced to QuickBooks Online.

What's inside

Every part of the shop, not just the sales side

Wrap Command replaced a general-purpose shop platform and three other tools at Designer Wraps. These are the parts that had to exist before the old systems could be switched off.

Lead capture & CRM

Every enquiry becomes a card, not an email

  • Multi-step, mobile-first quote request form for your own website; abandoned forms are still captured as leads
  • VIN scanning from a photo, decoded to year, make, model and trim
  • Guided camera measurement for sizing
  • Customers can generate AI wrap concepts on their own vehicle and attach them to the request
  • Lead status that mostly sets itself: emailing marks Reached Out, attaching a quote marks Quoted
  • Sales pipeline two-way synced with the Sales board
Quoting & orders

Quotes that know their own cost

  • Quote, sales order and invoice with line items, item groups, discounts, tax and terms
  • Build-up pricing from square footage: materials, laminate, labour and machine time, with flat-rate or manual override
  • Internal documents show materials and labour operations; the customer's copy never does
  • Share link with draw-or-type e-signature, signed PDFs stored privately
  • Sales tax by code, selected from the customer's state, with exempt and government overrides
  • Vendor quotes parsed into lines automatically
Command Center

Seven boards that match how the shop is organised

  • Sales, Design, Scheduling, Production, Installation, Completed and Warranty Work, each with its own lists and permissions
  • Moving a card moves the job, the order status and the CRM opportunity. One place to look
  • A card carries the enquiry, customer, quote, order, invoice, vehicle, bill of materials, proofs, checklists, files and comments
  • Department notes: separate Design, Production and Install threads on every job, readable by everyone
  • Labour timers per card, with non-billable and warranty classification
  • Live presence shows who else has the card open; @mentions and assignment notifications
Design & approval

Proofs the customer can approve from a text message

  • Proofs sent by email with a secure review link; approve or request revisions without an account
  • Approval hands the job to Pre-Production, not straight to print, so materials and dates are confirmed first
  • Proof rounds numbered and retained with their files and responses
  • AI design concepts from a brief, a reference photo and the customer's logo
Scheduling

Department calendars that agree with the boards

  • Design, Production and Install calendars with per-role visibility
  • Scheduling a job sets its due dates and can create matching events on other departments' calendars in one step
  • Separate Design, Production, Install, Customer, Hard and Shipping due dates on every job
  • Repeating events and a shop-TV display mode
Field work

Built for the phone in the installer's pocket

  • Site surveys with photo capture and on-image annotation
  • Pre- and post-install vehicle inspections with photos and a signature pad, emailed to the customer as a PDF report
  • Installer checklists completed by subcontractors from their own portal
  • Installer applications collected through your website
Payments & accounting

Books that stay clean

  • Stripe card payments, staff-initiated from an invoice or self-serve in the customer portal, with an optional surcharge
  • Partial payments, application against invoices and balance tracking; the Stripe webhook is the source of truth
  • QuickBooks Online sync with void handling and locks protecting imported history
  • Accounting section covering chart of accounts, vendors, bills, banking and payroll
Communication

Reply from the card, not from your inbox

  • Email a lead from inside its card; every send is logged on the card with sender, recipients and time
  • Sent from the shop's address with Reply-To set to the staff member, so replies reach a person
  • Team chat with unread counts, card comments with @mentions and reactions, in-app notifications
  • Templated quote, invoice, receipt and payment emails sharing one signature and brand colour
  • Email marketing with audiences, Mailchimp import and per-recipient unsubscribe
Portals

Everyone in the chain has an account

  • Customers: passwordless sign-in, quotes, invoices, card payment, proof review, re-ordering past work
  • Subcontract installers: assigned jobs, insurance and compliance documents, inspection checklists
  • Trade partners: submit orders for their own clients, upload artwork, approve colour samples, track progress
  • Each sees only their slice, which removes most of the email shop software usually generates
Platform

Hosted, permissioned, migrated

  • Hosted web app for phones, tablets, desktops and the shop TV; everyone's browser picks up new releases automatically
  • Seven staff roles with per-page, per-board and per-calendar permissions that fail closed
  • Reusable checklist templates, email templates, numbering sequences and board management, all staff-editable
  • Migration tooling for customers, quotes, orders, invoices, payments and PDFs from ShopVOX
Coming next

What's on the bench right now

Wrap Command ships a release most weeks. These are the pieces being built or queued for the shops that join next, listed so you know what is real today and what is coming.

In development

Shop onboarding and migration toolkit

  • Guided setup for a new shop: roles, boards, products, tax codes and templates
  • Import of customers, quotes, orders, invoices and payments from ShopVOX, reconciled invoice by invoice
  • Parallel running until the shop is ready to switch off the old system
In development

QuickBooks Online production certification

  • Sync is built and running against the QuickBooks sandbox; Intuit's production approval is in progress
  • Invoice state carried by balance, with imported history locked against double-posting
Planned

Subcontractor scorecards

  • A completions tally per contract installer, counting only jobs actually marked complete
  • Reporting and sorting on the Subcontractors page, next to insurance status, location and tags
Planned

Campaign analytics and scheduled sends

  • Opens, clicks and bounces per campaign, fed back from the sending service
  • Schedule a campaign for a date and time instead of pressing send
Why it exists

Built because the alternatives were built for someone else

Designer Wraps ran for years on a general-purpose shop management platform. It handled quotes and invoices, but it didn't know what an installer's day looks like, it was terrible on a mobile device, and every integration was a workaround (a real mish-mash).

In 2026 the shop replaced it with its own system, built by the shop owner, one real job at a time. Each release fixed something that had gone wrong on the floor that week. After countless releases, that system is Wrap Command, and it's what New Idea Works is now offering to other wrap companies (among other custom software packages soon to be released).

Because one shop depends on it, it stays honest. There is no feature on this page that isn't in daily use.

Every screen in Wrap Command exists because someone at a wrap shop needed it on a specific Tuesday. New Idea Works
